For most people, that decision happens at the last moment — often with a physical frame in hand and a photo on a phone, trying to imagine the result. ArtVinci Framer exists to make that imagination concrete.
What It Does
Built for ArtVinci SRL, this Android app lets customers place any frame profile from the catalog directly onto a photo of their artwork — before purchasing, before committing, before the frame arrives.
The result is a high-resolution preview that captures the actual proportions, the actual profile design, and the actual visual relationship between the painting and its frame.
The Workflow
Step 1 — Choose Your Image
Pick a photo of your painting from the gallery. The app scales it to fit the screen while preserving proportions.
Step 2 — Position the Frame
Drag and pinch to fit the frame overlay precisely over your artwork. The frame moves independently; the composition is yours to control.
Step 3 — Enter Your Dimensions
Specify the painting’s physical height in centimetres. The app uses this to render the overlay at accurate proportions — what you see reflects what you’ll get.
Step 4 — Browse the Catalog
Select a frame profile from ArtVinci’s collection. Each profile is loaded from a local catalog — no network required, no waiting.
Step 5 — Preview and Share
Inspect the final composition with pan and zoom. Share the high-resolution result, or open the product page on artvinci.ro directly from the app.
The Craft Behind It
Frame profiles are bundled with the app — defined in a local YAML catalog, linked to the corresponding product pages. The final render is captured as a high-resolution PNG via a RepaintBoundary, preserving full image quality for sharing or printing.
The intent is accuracy: what the app shows should be close enough to reality that the customer walks into the store — or places the order online — with confidence.

Status
The core workflow is complete and functional. A UX improvement cycle is underway: cleaner onboarding, a better-guided step-by-step flow, and richer profile metadata.
iOS support is planned once the Android version reaches its full design quality.
